The rules which were laid down by the author in chapter I is continued in chapter II and the author begins by talking about generalizations. He mentions that certain conclusions might be in the form of a generalization which if stated in themselves can appear to be a self-prophecy. In such cases, a number of premises may be provided as reasons for justifying the same. This is especially important for conclusions which might appear to be too sweeping.
